A. The school is open all year round, except on New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Christmas Day (unless New Year’s day and Christmas day fall on the weekend).
A. Clubclass welcomes students from over 40 different countries annually. For recent information about the nationality mix at Clubclass, please go to the ‘School / Nationality Mix’ page.
A. Clubclass is mainly an adult-oriented school with the average age of our students being between 25 and 35 years. However, we also have a number of older students who join our courses in Business English or more intensive courses in General English. In the summer months we also welcome students from the ages of 7 to 17 years on the Teenskool and Parent & Child Programmes.
A. Clubclass is located in Swieqi – a safe residential area with its own quiet charm. Being a suburb of St. Julian’s, Swieqi is located within a 10 / 15 minutes walk to Malta’s main tourist area – St. George’s Bay, St. Julian’s and Paceville.
A. Yes – St. George’s Bay – one of Malta’s main sandy beaches and is only a 10 / 15 minutes walk from the school. Across the road from the school there is a bus stop providing easy access to the lovely rocky beaches in Sliema.
A. Clubclass is an average-sized school having a total of 27 classrooms taking a maximum of 12 students per class.
A. You do not need transport to get from your accommodation to school. All the accommodation offered by Clubclass is either within the same building as the school or within walking distance of the school. The Apartments are situated within the same building as the school; the Hostel and the Student Houses are situated across the road from the school; and Host Family and Hotel Accommodation is situated within walking distance to the school.
A. Clubclass is different from other local English language schools because it is a residential school, which means that the school, accommodation and the wide range of amenities such as outdoor and indoor swimming pools, a fully equipped gym, sauna, games rooms and other recreational facilities are all situated within the same building – this makes it ideal for students of different nationalities to get together and communicate through the medium of English.
A. Malta has 14 national public holidays (on these days, shops, businesses and most schools are closed, though restaurants and bars will most likely remain open). Clubclass is only closed on New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Christmas Day (i.e. no lessons are held on these days).
